Mardi Himal Trek is one of the most popular treks of Nepal. Best Time to go on Mardi Himal Trek

Autumn (mid-September to November) and Spring (March to May) is the best season to go on the Mardi Himal Trek. Even these two are also the peak season for trekking in Nepal. Food, and Accommodation during Mardi Himal Trek

You will stay in 2 or 3 stars hotel in Kathmandu and Pokhara in lodge/tea house during the Mardi Himal Trek. You will get breakfast in Kathmandu with welcome and farewell dinner in Kathmandu. While on the Mardi Himal Trek the food will be served according to the menu of the lodge / teahouse.

This is a newly opened trekking route of Nepal so it is less crowded. Therefore, the construction and development of lodges are not that good or appropriate comparing to other routes of Nepal. But you can have fine lodges where you can enjoy Nepali local foods and one can enjoy the comfort accommodations. Similarly, drinking water is easily available everywhere. You can carry reusable water bottle and water purification tablets to double check the quality of waters.

Is Mardi Himal Trek difficult?

Mardi Himal Trek is a moderate journey in the Himalayas and it is not as strenuous as other trekking trails. Moreover, Mardi Himal Trek will provide you with the ground knowledge and experience before going on other challenging treks.

You don't need to have prior trekking experience to go on this trek. However, every day you have to trek for around 5 to 6 hours, which does good strong physical fitness, determination, and good stamina.

How long do you take to complete Mardi Himal Trek?

Mardi Himal Trek is a short trekking route. If you are physically strong and can walk for hours a day, you may be able to complete this trek within 5-6 days from Pokhara to Pokhara. Mardi Himal Trek cost will be depend on the accommodation service facility, itinerary day, guides quality etc. Normally, Mardi Himal Treks can be done within 8 days from Kathmandu to Kathmandu plus arrival and departure day.

Is there any facility of Wi-Fi, device charge and hot shower?

Since you will be in the remote areas as well as mountainous land of Annapurna region, Wi-Fi might not work everywhere. However, some lodges provides you free internet or they will charge a little for Wi-Fi services.

You can charge your mobile phone, camera, and electronic device in lodges of Mardi Himal Trek. But you need to carry your device charger. Bucket with tap filled with hot water is the most basic way of having a hot shower. Also know that in most of the tea house and lodges have common washroom.

What preparations should I make before Mardi Himal trekking?

Basically, Mardi Himal trek is average easy trek which covers only 4,500m above sea level. So, prior experience is not needed. An average level of physical and mental fitness can do the Mardi Himal trek. But to avoid any hardships, we recommend you to do some exercises like jogging and cycling for 2 to 3 weeks.
