Mardi Himal Trek is one of the most popular treks of Nepal. Trekking in the Mardi Himal region has been extremely gaining popularity these days yet the only handful of travelers has visited this region. The trail is relatively new making it less crowded and perfect for anyone looking for solitary. The region presents stunning scenery along with rich cultural experience and exotic flora & fauna.

The trail is adventurous and challenging in some sections. You will go through dense forests of rhododendron, maple, oak, hemlock covered with lichen, moss, and ferns and small lovely villages.  Mardi Himal Trek will offer you panoramic views of Annapurna South, Mardi Himal, Mt. Best Time to go on Mardi Himal Trek

Autumn (mid-September to November) and Spring (March to May) is the best season to go on the Mardi Himal Trek. Even these two are also the peak season for trekking in Nepal. Other then that, you can also trek to Mardi Himal in Winter (December to February) as the skies are clear, but it might be too cold for many of you. Where May to June is a hot pre-monsoon season in Nepal, however, the whole region begins to bloom with hundreds of colorful flowers making it immensely beautiful.

Food, and Accommodation during Mardi Himal Trek

You will stay in 2 or 3 stars hotel in Kathmandu and Pokhara in lodge/tea house during the Mardi Himal Trek. All the rooms will be on twin sharing basis. You will only get breakfast in Kathmandu and Pokhara. There will also be welcome and farewell dinner in Kathmandu. While on the trek the food will be served according to the menu of the lodge/teahouse. 

Similarly, drinking water is easily available everywhere. You can carry reusable water bottle and water purification tablets to double check the quality of waters. We highly encourage you not to buy water bottle during the trip as it helps in preservation of the region.

Is Mardi Himal Trek is difficult?

Mardi Himal Trek is a moderate journey in the Himalayas and it is not as strenuous as other trekking trails. Moreover, Mardi Himal Trek will provide you with the ground knowledge and experience before going on other challenging treks.

You don't need to have prior trekking experience to go on this trek. However, every day you have to trek for around 5 to 6 hours, which does good strong physical fitness, determination, and good stamina.
