You will be picked up by one of our representatives at the Tribhuvan International Airport. He will take you to your hotel and rest of the day is free for you to relax. Later, in the evening, you will meet with your guide in the lobby of your hotel and he will assist you to your restaurant where you will have delicious welcome dinner along with cultural dance. Mardi Himal Trek Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive at Kathmandu Airport, pick up and transfer to hotel
Day 2 Flight or Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (900m) 201 km
After having breakfast, you will drive to Pokhara on a private tourist bus. Along the drive, you will get to witness beautiful views of green hills, dense forests, cascading waterfalls, terraced fields, and small settlements. Upon reaching Pokhara, you will be taken to your hotel. In the late afternoon, you will visit the famous Lakeside and explore the market. After that, you will also do boating on the serene Fewa Lake in the umbra of Mt. Machhapuchhre (6,993 m). Overnight in the hotel.
Day 3 1 hour Drive to Kande and 4 hours trek to Pitam-Deurali (2200m) 15 km
You will drive to Kanda after having breakfast. From Kande, you will begin trekking and the first one and a half hour of the trek will include ascending to the beautiful hamlet of Australian Camp (2,100 m). The trail will be an easy uphill walk up to the Pothana, and from there, you will ascend all the way up to the Deurali. You will stay overnight in the lodge.
Day 4 Trek to forest camp to Low Camp (2900m) 6 hours walk 9.5 km
From today onwards, you will leave the main Annapurna Sanctuary trail and trek on the off-beaten trail to reach the Mardi Himal Base Camp. The first part of trek goes through dense forests of maple, oak, rhododendron, and hemlock. After a good walk through these forests, you will reach the Forest Camp (aka Kokar). You will take a short lunch break here and continue trekking to the Low Camp. As you will ascend, you will notice vegetation begins to change. Now, you will trek through rhododendron forest where most of the trees are covered with lichen, moss, and ferns. Overnight in the lodge.
Day 5 Trek to High Camp (3150m) 5 hours walking distance 8 km
You will ascend through the beautiful forest of rhododendron and reach the Middle Camp. The trail from here will take you to the Badal Danda from where you will get to see stunning views of Annapurna South, Mardi Himal, Mt. Machhapuchhre, Mt. Hiunchuli, and Mt. Gangapurna. Further, the trail goes along the Mardi Himal Ridge and take you to the High Camp. On the way, you might get to see Danphe Pheasant (national bird of Nepal). You will stay overnight in a lodge.
Day 6 Explore View Point and Mardi Himal Base Camp (4500m) 5 hours, 6 km
Today, you will wake up early in the morning to see the sunrise. You will have breakfast, and then begin ascending towards the Mardi Himal Base Camp. The trail will be grassy with a few steeper sections. On the way, you will get to see dzo (crossbreed of yak and cow) and Danphe. Upon reaching the Mardi Himal Base Camp, you will glorious sunrise with a panoramic view of the South face of Annapurna, Mt. Hiunchuli, Mt. Machhapuchhre, and many other mountains. Overnight in the lodge.
Day 7 Trek to Siding Village (1750m) 6 hours walking distance 12 km
You will take a different route and descend to the beautiful Siding village. Siding is a typical Nepali village situated far away for the hectic tourist destination. You will get closer to the locals and see their lifestyle, culture, and food. You will spend the day exploring the region and tasting local food. Overnight in a guesthouse.
Day 8 2 hours Trek to Lumre and 3 hours drive to Pokhara (900m) 17 km
After having breakfast, you will trek to Lumre. On the way, you will go through other small villages like Kalimati and Ghalel. Upon reaching Lumre, you will take your jeep/van and drive back to Pokhara. The rest of the day is free for you to rest and relax your body. You can explore nearby areas on your own. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 9 Drive or Flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu 201 km
Today, after having breakfast, you will return back to Kathmandu. You will have two options either fly or drive to Kathmandu. Both options have their own perks. If you will drive, you will get to see scenic views of green hills, terraced fields, rivers, dense forest and small settlements whereas the flight will present you panoramic views of the Himalayan mountains, rivers, and hills.
The rest of the day is again free for you to rest or do shopping. In the evening, you will have a farewell dinner for the successful completion of your trip. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 10 Drop to Kathmandu Airport for Final Departure Day
After having the last breakfast of your trip, you will check-out of the hotel. One of our team representatives will take you to the airport for your flight back to your home and bid you our last goodbye.
