Passport and Visa Information

All foreign nationals are required to arrange a visa in order to enter Nepal. All the travelers should have a valid passport for at least six months. Visa can be obtained from Nepalese embassy or consulate in your country or can be available and stamp at the time of arrival at the international airport in Kathmandu and at all land border crossings. Required to fill a visa form with passport and photographs while passing through the immigration of Nepal. The following visa fees need to pay equivalent local currency in cash and below 10 years children not need to pay any visa fees.

  • Gratis visa for 30 days available only for tourists of SAARC countries
  • Multiple entries 15 days - US$ 30 or equivalent convertible currency
  • Multiple entries 30 days - US$ 50 or equivalent convertible currency
  • Multiple entries 90 days - US$ 125 or equivalent convertible currency

Chinese citizen is requested to apply in the Nepalese embassy or other Nepalese diplomatic missions as there are no provisions of on arrival visa for them. Transit visa can be obtained from the Airport Immigration Office for a period of 48 hours on presentation of the confirmed air ticket.
