After having breakfast, you will fly to Phaplu. The flight will present you scenic views of the mountains, hills, forests, and rivers. Upon reaching Phaplu, you have lunch and begin trekking towards Thaksindo. The trail will be short and scenic.
Mera Peak Climbing Itinerary

Day 2 Flight from Kathmandu to Phaplu (2,469m) & trek to Ringmu, 5 hours

Day 3 Trek to Kharikhola, 6 hours
After having breakfast, you will begin trekking towards Khari Khola. The first of the trail will include long descend to the basin to the Dudh Koshi River. From here, you will ascend on the opposite shore to reach the village of Khari Khola. The trail will be long and takes around 7 to 8 hours of walk to reach the Kharikhola where you will stay for the night.

Day 4 Trek to Panggom, 4 hours
You will cross Poyan Khola and then ascend to Khari La Pass situated at 3,081 meters. From here, you will trek through a succession of troughs dominating the Kharikhola. Before reaching Panggom, you will cross several small villages like Kharte, Nyrungso.

Day 5 Trek to Ningsow, 4 Hours
Today, the trail will present awesome scenic views. You will ascend to Nankung La (3110 m) from where you will get to observe stunning views of Mera Peak. Further, you will descend to Sibuje (2770 m) and trek to reach Nigmsa.

Day 6 Trek to Chhetrwa Khola / Jungle Camp; 5 Hours
You will ascend on a steep trail and reach a tea shop from where you will get to witness a gorgeous landscape view. Further, you will ascend and descend steeply towards a river. You will take a lunch break here and after that, you will continue trekking through a forested rugged trail.

Day 7 Trek to Kothe, 5 hour
Today, you will ascend steeply on a slope and the trail from here will take you the La Zatswa. You will then trek and reach Kothe located at the junction of two valleys.

Day 8 Trek to Thangnak, 4 hour
Today, you will begin trekking following the west bank of a riverbed up to the Tangnag Valley. Further, you will ascend gradually along with the close view of Kusum Kanguru and many other Himalayan mountains. You will also pass by a gompa located at the lap of a big rock and arrive at Thangnak, which is a summer grazing area.

Day 9 Trek to Khare, 4 hours
You will wake up early and begin trekking. As you will trek the valley opens up and offer you a stunning view of the north side of Hinku Nup Glacier along with the chain of Himalayas. After reaching Charpatti Tal, you will descend and cross a sandy basin. From here, you will ascend to Khare with impressive scenic views.

Day 10 Rest day for acclimatization and Climbing preparation training
Today is your day to make your body acclimatized with the increased altitude. You will begin your day with delicious warm breakfast along with the superb views of Mera Peak. Later, you will spend the day by roaming around and preparing for the summit.

Day 11 Trek to Mera Base Camp, 3 hours
After having breakfast, you will ascend on the Mera Glacier and trek up to its pass. Further, you will ascend on the steep trail and around 2 to 3 hours of the walk will take you to the Mera Base Camp. From here, you will get to see panoramic views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Baruntse, Mt. Makalu, Kusum Kanguru, and many other mountains.

Day 12 Climb to Mera High Camp, 6 hours
Leaving Mera Base Camp behind, you will move towards Mera High Camp gradually. The trail will be steep and tough, therefore make sure to walk carefully and follow your guide instructions properly. You will then ascend up to the High Camp along with the view of Mera Peak and glaciers. If the weather is clear, you will get to see fantastic view of Mt. Kanchenjunga far in the east.

Day 13 Summit to Mera Peak (6,470m) and back to Khare, 10 hours
Today is the most interesting and challenging day as you will summit the Mera Peak. You will wake up early in the morning and begin trekking after having light breakfast. You also have to use rope several times to cross crevasses. As the sun begins to rise, you will get to see excellent views of Mt. Makalu, Mt. Baruntse, Nau Lekh, and Chamlang. Upon reaching the summit, you will spend some time enjoying the views of the surrounding and descend back to Khare for the night stay.

Day 14 Trek Down to Kothe, 5 hours
After having breakfast, you will begin descending back to Kothe. The day is going to long and a little exhausting, but the beautiful view of the surrounding will accompany you till the end of the day. You will reach Tagnag and descend through forested trial to reach Kothe.

Day 15 Trek Down to Thuli Kharka, 5 hours
Today, you are going to follow a new route trek back to Thuli Kharka, which is located on an open hillside. You will trek through beautiful forests of rhododendron and later trek on the off-the-beaten trail. On the way, you will get to see wonderful views of Mera North, Mera Central, and Mera South.

Day 16 Trek Down to Lukla, 6 hours
Today again you will cross the Zatrwa La pass (4,600m). From here, you will descend down to the Dudh Kosi Valley and ascend up to reach the Lukla. You will trek through a dense forest of oak, fir, rhododendron, and juniper. You will also get to see lovely views of Numbur Himal, Kusum Kanguru, Mt. Cho Oyu, and Kongde Peak. Overnight in a lodge.

Day 17 Fly Back to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel
You will wake up early and have your last breakfast with the views of the Himalayas at far distant. After that, you will fly back to Kathmandu. Again, the flight will be short and scenic. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you will move to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax or explore the nearby areas on your own. Overnight in a hotel.

Day 18 Final Departure Day
After having your last breakfast of the day, you will check-out of the hotel. One of our team members will drop you at the terminal of the Tribhuvan International Airport for your flight back to your home and bid you the last goodbye of ours.
