You will arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport. One of our team representatives will welcome you at the terminal of international airport and take you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax. In the evening, you will meet with you guide and he will brief you about the trip. Later, you will have a welcome dinner along with cultural dance. Mera Peak Circuit Trekking Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive at Kathmandu Airport, pick up and transfer to Hotel

Day 2 Drive from Kathmandu to Patale Dhap (2900m) 8 hours, BP Highway
After breakfast, you will start your journey on the BP highway. The trip starts early in the morning, leaving Kathmandu for Patale Dhap (2900m), Okhaldungha where you can see Mount Everest. The road that runs along the valley of Bardibas, Sindhuli, Khurkot and after passing the Sun Koshi river reaches the Okhaldungha. We use 4 wheels Jeep, Scorpio, TATA Sumo for transportation. Spend the night in a lodge.

Day 3 Drive to Bung and Trek to Khiraule Monastery 8 hours, Cultural Day Hike
Off-road drive from Patale Dhap to the Mahakulung rural municipality. After crossing the Dudh Koshi River, go straight from Sotang to Bung. On the way, you will reach a small ethnic village of Chetri, Tamang and Rai. It is a full-day cultural excursion with their people, lifestyle, language, customs, etc. And walk towards Khiaule Gompa / monastery which is Sherpa village where the oldest Estd Buddhist monastery is located. about 1738 AD. Spend the night in a Lodge near the monastery.

Day 4 Trek to Jungle Camp / Cholem (3560m) 5 hours, Rhododendron Jungle Trail
You will go up by the forest path of the Rhododendrons. It can get steep in some places and go up Surke La. Then you will go up through the bamboo forest where you will have the chance to see the red panda. Further, you will trek through lovely rhododendron forest all the way up to the Jungle Camp (Cholem), your last destination of the day. You will spend the night in a Lodge.

Day 5 Trek to Panch Pokhari (4223m) 6 hours, Rocky Part Trekking
The trail gradually climbs up to Panch Pokhari today. Along the way, you can inhale the heavenly scent of Himalayan incense and herbs. If the weather is clear, you can see impressive Himalayan views of Kusum Kanguru, Kyashar and Kanchenjunga. After 5 to 6 hours of walking you will arrive at Panch Pokhari, which is the combination of 5 sacred ponds and a religious place. You will spend the night in a lodge.

Day 6 Trek to Kothe (3580m) 5 hours, Himalayan Pine Jungle Trail
You will go up a small stream and descend to Mujang. During the ascent you will have the chance to see captivating views of Panch Pokhari and the great yak pasture. From Mujang you will pass through a dense pine forest with the roaring Inkhu Khola river. You will reach Kothe after crossing the Inkhu Khola river. Kothe is located at the bank of a river with numerous lodges. And Kothe is the get way to Mera Peak. Stay overnight at the Lodge.

Day 7 Trek to Thangnak (4358m) 4 hours, through Inkhu River
After breakfast, you will start the trek following the west bank of the Inkhu river bed and ascend to Thangnak valley. Plus, you'll gradually ascend with the close-up view of Kusum Kanguru and many other Himalayan mountains. From there you will also pass a Dukfuk Monastery located at the lap of a large rock and arrive at Thangnak which is a summer grazing area. You will spend the night in a Lodge.

Day 8 Rest day for acclimatization at Thangnak
Today is your day off to acclimatize your body with increasing altitude because you have already gained so much altitude. You will start your day with a good hot breakfast with the superb view of mountain valley. Later, you'll spend the day exploring the village and hike upto Thangnak. You will spend the night in a Lodge.

Day 9 Trek to Khare (5000m) 4 hours, Glacier Trekking
At the start of the hike, you will see the valley open up for a striking view of the north side of Sabai Glacier and Hinku Nup Glacier as well as the Himalayan Range. Arriving at Tama Pokhari, you will go straight ahead and cross a Dig Glacier to reach Dig Kharka. Tama Pokahri / Sabai Tsho outburst on September 3, 1998. From there, you will ascend to Khare with stunning panoramic views. You will spend the night at Refuge Mera Lodge.

Day 10 Climb to Mera High Camp (5800m) and back to Khare, 8 hours
Trek to Mera High Camp with a superb view of Mera Peak and the glacier. You will ascend the Mera Glacier and cross the Mera La Pass. You will climb the steep path that will take you to Mera High Camp. Mera High Camp is located on a rocky island in the middle of the glacier with limited space. From here you will be able to see a panoramic view of Mt. Everest, Kusum Kanguru, Mt. Baruntse, Mt. Makalu and many other mountains. If the weather is clear you will be able to see Mt. Kanchenjunga far to the east. And back to Khare.

Day 11 Trek Down to Kothe (3580m) 5 hours, Back to Same Way
After a great success, Mera Peak begins to descend to Kothe following the same path. The day is going to be long and a little exhausting, but the beautiful view of the surroundings will accompany you until the end of the day. You will reach Thangnak and descend by the bank of the Inkhu Khola river to reach Kothe. You will spend the night at the Lodge.

Day 12 Trek up to Thuli Kharka (4200m) 6 hours, Off the Beaten Trail
You will follow a new route back to Thuli Kharka, located on an open hill. The trail passes through pine forests and later walks off the beaten track. On the way, you will have a wonderful view of Mera North, Mera Central and Mera South. You will spend the night in a Lodge.

Day 13 Trek Down to Lukla (2840m) 6 hours, Cross Zatrwa La Pass
Today you will cross the Zatrwa La Pass (4,600 m). From there you will descend into the DudhKosi valley through Khakiteng, Chutanga and reach the Lukla. You will cross a dense forest of oaks, firs, rhododendrons and junipers. You will also have the opportunity to see beautiful views of Numbur Himal, Kusum Kanguru, Mt. Cho Oyu and Kongde Peak. You will spend the night at the Lodge.

Day 14 Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu (1300m) 35 Minute, Mountain Flight
You will wake up early and have your last breakfast with the view of the Himalayas in the distance. After that, you will take flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. The flight will be short and scenic like a mountain flight. Arriving in Kathmandu, you will move to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax or explore the surroundings on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 15 Reserve Day for Mera Peak Trip otherwise Sightseeing at Kathmandu
It is an additional optional day. If the trip to Mera Peak will be delayed due to an acclimatization issue or bad weather. These extra days give some flexibility to continue the Mera Peak trip. Otherwise, visit the city of Kathmandu on your own. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 16 Drop to Kathmandu Airport for final Departure Day
After having your last breakfast of the day, you will leave the hotel. One of our team members will drop you off at Tribhuvan International Airport terminal for your flight back to your home and say our final goodbye. Then time to go home with good memories.
