You will be welcomed by one of our representatives at the Tribhuvan International Airport. He/she will take you to your hotel. You will rest for the day, and in the evening, you will meet with your guide. You will prepare for your trip, and also do shopping if needed, You will end the day with a delicious welcome dinner. Overnight in the hotel.
Everest Base Camp Trek Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive at Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel
Day 2 Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2840m) and trek to Phakding, 4 hours
You will head to the airport to take your flight for Lukla. The flight will be scenic and present stunning views of hill and snow-capped mountains. Upon reaching Lukla, you will have lunch and begin trekking towards Phakding. You will see a certain change in the atmosphere and surrounding scenery from here onwards.
You will gradually move towards the Cheplung Village along with the views of the gorgeous mountain landscape. From here, you will descend and reach Phakding located in the Dudh Koshi River valley north of Lukla.
Day 3 Trek to Namche Bazar, 5-6 hours
The trail today takes you to the Namche Bazar, one of the most exotic tourist destinations of the world. The trail will include several ascends & descends, and goes through villages like Jorsale and Monjo. You will trek through alpine woods, small rivers, and dense forest to reach the Sagarmatha National Park. On the way, you will get to see beautiful views of the Thamserku Peak (6,623 m), Kongde RI Himal (6,187 m), and other several Himalayan Ranges. You will stay overnight in the lodge.
Day 4 Rest, Explore and acclimatization day at Namche Bazar
Today is your first acclimatization day in the Namche Bazar. After having breakfast, you will hike to the Everest View Hotel from where you will get to see breathtaking views of Mt. Everest (8,848 m), and other surrounding mountains. Later, you will return back to the Namche and explore the region. You can visit the Sherpa Culture Museum, Everest Photo Gallery, bookshops, and cafes to spend the rest of day. You will stay overnight in the lodge.
Day 5 Trek to Tengboche (3860m) to Deboche, 5-6 hours
Today is going to be a long walking day. After having a warm breakfast, you will begin trekking towards Deboche. You will trek following the Dudh Koshi River and ascend to reach Tengboche. Even though you have to walk for long hours today, the trail will present you the captivating view of landscapes and Himalayan mountains that will ease your journey. You will reach Tengboche where you will visit the largest monastery of this entire Khumbu region. Moreover, this place offers one of the best views of Mt. Everest (8,848 m), Mt. Ama Dablam (6,812 m), and many other snow-capped mountains. After exploring the region, you will trek towards Deboche where you will be going to stay for the night.
Day 6 Trek to Dingboche, 4-5 hours
You will cross a suspension bridge over the Imja River and further, reach the Pangboche village. From here, the trail will take you to the Dingboche, which is also known as the 'Summer Valley.' The trail will be comparatively short then tomorrow. You will get to witness wonderful views of Mt. Lhotse (8,516 m), Mt. Nuptse (7,816 m), Island Peak (6,189 m), and Mt. Ama Dablam (6,812 m) from here. You will stay overnight in the lodge.
Day 7 Trek to Lobuche, 4-5 hours
You will trek and reach Pheriche where you will come across the Trekkers Aid Post, which is operated by the Western Volunteer Doctors and assisted by The Himalayan Rescue Association. From here, you will reach another village, Chupki Lhara and further, descend down to a Khumbu glacier moraine. You will trek along with the captivating views of the Himalayan mountain and reach Lobuche. You will stay overnight in the lodge.
Day 8 Trek to Gorkshep – Everest Base Camp (5364m) – Gorkshep
Today is going to be the most exciting day of your trip as you will reach the world famous Everest Base Camp. You will begin ascending gradually from Lobuche and trek along with the views of the world’s highest glacier, the Khumbu Glacier. You will trek on the rugged snowy trail and reach Gorakshep. From here onwards, you will trek all the way up to the Everest Base Camp where you will see stunning view of the Khumbu Icefall (5,486 m), Khumbutse (6,636 m), and the Himalayas. After spending some time on the base camp, you will return back to the Gorakshep. You will stay overnight at the lodge.
Day 9 Climb Kala Patthar (5550m) and trek to Pheriche, 5-6 hours
You will wake up early in the morning and begin hiking towards Kala Patthar. The trail will include steep ascend and take you to the Kala Patthar. You will get to see a gorgeous sunrise and 360-degree view of Mt. Everest (8,848 m), Mt. Nuptse (7,816 m), Mt. Changtse (7,543 m) and its surrounding mountains. After spending some time at the Kala Patthar, you will descend down to Pheriche where you will stay overnight.
Day 10 Trek to Namche Bazar, 5-6 hours
After having breakfast, you will trek back to Namche Bazar. Following the Imja River again, you will reach Tengboche. From here, you will descend down to Phungki Thanka, and further, trek to reach Namche Bazar. The trail will go through rhododendron forests and small villages along with the views of snow-capped mountains. You will stay overnight in the lodge.
Day 11 Trek to Lukla, 6-7 hours
You will begin trekking on a steep trail and cross a suspension bridge. On the way, you will pass by several chortens, mani walls, small gompas, prayer flags, small villages, and beautiful rhododendron & pine forests. You will reach Lukla, freshen-up, and later, explore the region. You will stay overnight in the lodge.
Day 12 Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu
You will fly back to Kathmandu after having breakfast. The flight will present your last views of snow-capped Himalayas and hills. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you will head to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to rest and explore the nearby areas on your own. You will stay overnight in the hotel.
Day 13 Sightseeing at Kathmandu
After having breakfast, you will go on the guided sightseeing tour. You will visit Pashupatinath, one of the holiest temples of Hindus. After that, you will move towards Boudhanath, the largest stupa of Nepal. In the late afternoon, you will explore Kathmandu Durbar Square and the bustling streets of Thamel. You will your day, with a delicious farewell dinner. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 14 Final Departure Day
Today is your last day in Nepal. After having breakfast, you will check-out of the hotel, and move to the Tribhuvan International Airport to take your flight back to your home.
